During this past week, our assignment was to illustrate over a photograph of a famous person, so that without the picture behind it, you could recognize who that person was. We were inspired by the ‘Obey’ and ‘Hope’ pictures which consist of very few colors. We used illustrator to do this and I liked it a thousand times more than photoshop. I chose to illustrate a picture of the 60’s era model, Twiggy. For the original picture, I chose a photo that is one of her most well- known. I used the pen tool for nearly everything and then filled the lines with an appropriate color. The only actions I did not use the pen for, were the thin lines around the nose and side of face. I loved this project and I’m very proud of the way it turned out!

The lips and the eyes were very realistic, as were the eyes. I would add a bit more detail in the nose though.
